Join us to mark the 78th anniversary of the Nakba — the catastrophic displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from their homes and land in 1948 by the State of Israel.

The Arabic word for "catastrophe," the Nakba, is central to Palestinian history and identity. For Palestinians and their descendants around the world, this date is not a moment in the past — it is a living reality, felt in every refugee camp, every diaspora community, and every family separated from their homeland.

This breakfast is an opportunity for our community to come together in solidarity, to listen, to learn, and to honour Palestinian voices and stories.

This event will be hosted by NSW Greens Senator David Shoebridge.

All are welcome. Please RSVP by 1 pm, 14 May, so we can ensure we have enough seating for everyone.

We come together in the belief that human rights are universal, that justice must be pursued, and that remembrance is an act of resistance.
