Farewell to Shane Rattenbury after 17 years of extraordinary service to the ACT community

After 17 remarkable years in the ACT Legislative Assembly, Shane Rattenbury has announced his retirement from ACT politics. From light rail to climate legislation, raising the age of criminal responsibility to serving as Australia's first Greens Attorney-General — Shane's legacy is woven into the fabric of our city.

We are holding a farewell gathering to celebrate Shane's incredible contribution to the ACT Greens and to our community. We would love for you to join us in person to say thank you and wish him well for the next chapter.

In true Greens style, this will be an informal, picnic-style celebration. We'll be based at the SaltHouse Centre in Haig Park, with plenty of room to spill out into the park.

Please bring a plate and a picnic blanket or picnic chairs and something to share.
