Our forests and our climate can’t speak in Parliament – but you can show up for them.
Mining is running rampant in WA’s South West forests at a time when their protection is more urgent than ever. It is madness and it has to stop. WA needs to ban forest mining.
And while we look down the barrel of a ‘Godzilla-level’ El-Nino, Western Australia remains one of the world’s largest fossil fuel exporters and we still don’t have a 2030 emissions reduction target or a climate bill!
We need to act now to bring down emissions, ban forest mining and protect all vulnerable ecosystems.
On 19 November, we’re filling the Legislative Council public gallery for an urgent debate led by our Greens MLCs on climate and environment. We want MPs to look up and see a room full of people who care about protecting WA’s forests and taking real action on climate.
Come along, take a seat in the gallery and stand with your WA Greens MPs to show decision makers that the community is watching – and that we expect action!
