Join Jenny Leong, NSW Greens Member for Newtown, for some politics at the pub where we chat to MEAA Musicians NSW President Alexander Poirier and more about getting a fair wage for musos.

In Newtown, we have a proud history of live music, being the birthplace of some of this country's most popular musicians.

But the support for live music in NSW has been lacking for a long time - not only with venues and festivals closing, but also the struggle for a fair wage and proper working standards for musicians.

Jenny Leong MP will be having a chat with different people working in the music industry about current challenges, and what we can do to fix some of the exploitative practices that happen to the artists that make Newtown and beyond so vibrant.

This event is fully wheelchair accessible. Accessible lift to the Garden Bar, downstairs at the Bank, which can be accessed from street level.

Please contact the event organiser with any accessibility requests as early as possible so that suitable arrangements can be discussed and organised where possible.

If you are under 18, your parent or guardian will need to contact the event organiser directly to let them know there will be someone under 18 attending.
