A high-energy club nightto prove that fighting for fair student housing doesn't have to be a chore—we can build a movement on community, music, and making enough noise to finally unf#*k the system.

Did you know? The political establishment counts on you being bored.

They win when politics feels dull, arduous, and inaccessible, because that’s when everyday people tune out and big landlords move in and take over the space.

That's why Make Some Noise is a club night designed to bridge the gap between "getting angry" and "getting organised."

This event sets out to prove that community power to demand chagne can be built on the dance floor just as much as in the parliament.

The issue? Canberra’s the cost of student crisis isn't an accident: it’s a business model.

Right now, ANU and UC are the biggest landlords in town, controlling 9,000 rooms and extracting $10 million in profit annually from students in this city.

Right now, they operate in a total wild west where they hold all the cards: no rent caps, no eviction protections, and the power to freeze your education if you challenge the system.

It is a predatory setup that relies on students feeling powerless and isolated.

By using this night to build the genuine community and mutual trust we need to stand together, we will start the work of building capacity so we can take it to the streets in protest later this year.
