Join the Pride Greens for a screening of Pride (2014), an uplifting movie about the strength of solidarity and community.

Pride brings together people from all walks of life, and we want to do the same! Bring your friends and enjoy the community spirit for a fun afternoon out.

Pride is a historical comedy-drama based on the true story of the Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners campaign during the Welsh miner's strike of 1984, when members of the lesbian and gay community in London fundraised and campaigned to support the striking miners. It is a heartwarming story of courage in the face of adversity, but be aware that the film is rated M and includes incidences of homophobia and homophobic violence.

What to expect: A screening of Pride followed by mingling, food and drink.

Catering: Snack food after the movie is included with your ticket, and drinks will be available at the venue's licensed bar. We will cater to vegan and gluten free dietary restrictions at minimum, please include any dietary requests when you register so we can plan ahead.

When: Saturday May 9th from 1:30pm. The movie screening will start at 1:40, so don't be late!

Where: The Backlot Perth, 21 Simpson St, West Perth WA 6005

Tickets: $20 per person. Pay-it-forward tickets are available - please email pride@wa.greens.org.au if you would like one, or consider covering the cost of one if you can!
