Have you heard about Labor’s dodgy new State Development Bill that’s currently before Parliament?
This Bill centralises power in the hands of the Premier, allowing him to bypass over 40 pieces of legislation to fast-track ‘priority’ projects. The State Development Bill spells bad news for WA’s precious natural environment: it could be used to speed up fossil fuel expansion, major industrial development and large-scale clearing.
Meanwhile, WA Labor and the Liberals have teamed up to try and ram these laws through before Christmas - but thanks to you, the massive community pressure to stop the State Development Bill has been growing.
On Tuesday, we’ll be supporting the Conservation Council of Western Australia who are taking the fight to the steps of WA Parliament for a snap action rally to Stop the State Development Bill!
