ACT Government has not responded to the damning Close to the Edge report, has missed its legislated climate reduction targets for the first time and has no climate stragety to replace the current one that ends in 2025.
Meanwhile, we've seen Federal Government approve 32 new coal and gas extensions, greenlight developments like the airport road through critically endangered dragon habitat and try to run nature protection laws for industry not the community.
It does not spark joy, so what can people do about it?
In the absence of Government leadership, people are acting. Over 7,000 attended this year's Rising Tide blockade and we turned back 3 coal ships.
