A strong branch is built on active, engaged members. Join this online discussion with branch office bearers from across Queensland to share and learn ways to grow your local capacity from the ground up.
The topic for October will be Policy Advocacy & Campaigning - localising federal and state policy for strategic and capacity building for local issues campaigning.
The aim of the session will be for branches to develop skills to advocate for policies aligned with Green values; and to grow local contact lists for future campaigns.
After the session, it is hoped that local branches will be able to:
develop campaigns on key issues
prepare advocacy materials
plan meetings with policymakers.
There will be a local branch giving a case study on how they've done this.
Whether your branch has a well-established history of issues campaigning or is just getting started, this session is a chance to exchange ideas and hear what’s working across Queensland. You’ll gain practical insights from other branches, learn about new approaches being trialed, and contribute to building a more connected and dynamic Party at the grassroots level.
Who should attend:
All Queensland branch office bearers involved in community engagement, or interested in growing and energising their local branch.
Let’s come together to support each other, strengthen our local networks, and grow our movement - one engaged member at a time.
