If you’re worried about the climate crisis, you’re not alone. Here in Canberra, we pride ourselves on doing things differently—we’re progressive, we care for each other, and we take the climate crisis seriously.
But while our city leads the way thanks to strong community backing for the Greens, Labor is dragging its feet—and risks taking us all backwards.
At the last territory election, Labor showed up with zero new climate policies. Meanwhile federally, they’re approving some of the most destructive gas and coal projects in Australia’s history.
And why? Because they’re bankrolled by fossil fuel corporations. They take millions in dirty donations—and then return the favour to their cronies at Santos and Woodside.
Frankly, it's climate betrayal. And our community cannot stand for it.
But here’s the good news: change doesn’t have to come from the top. It can start with us—everyday people showing up, speaking out, and refusing to be ignored.
As the only party founded by the people, powered by people, and fighting for people—not for big corporations or climate wreckers, we know this is possible because we've lived it.
That’s why we’re able to be a real voice for ecological justice. And right now, we have a chance to take this theory of change, and enact it on a way bigger scale.
Join us for a night of action and inspiration where we’ll be screening a powerful short film about the Rising Tide blockade—the largest act of civil disobedience for climate in Australia’s history—and sharing how you can be part of this growing, unstoppable wave of grassroots resistance.
If you’re ready to fight for our future, protect Country, and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with a movement that puts people and planet first—this is your moment.
Be there. Bring a friend. Let’s turn the tide together.
